WHY I BUILT THIS

Because every barbershop debate, every late-night argument about who's really the greatest - it all deserved more than just opinions. It deserved a number.

The Vision

I've spent my whole life listening to people argue about greatness. "Jay-Z or Nas?" "Kobe or LeBron?" "Biggie or Pac?"These debates never end because there was never a way to settle them. Just vibes. Just feelings. Just whoever could yell the loudest.

The Capra Index is my answer to that. A living, breathing system that puts a real number on cultural greatness - we call it the Capra Rating (CR). Not some random ranking made by critics in a boardroom - a number that you control. A number that moves every single day based on what the people think.(More on how CR works below.)

🐐

"Capra" is Latin for goat. This whole thing is about finding the G.O.A.T. - not through arguments, but through data. Through the collective voice of everyone who cares about this stuff as much as I do.

100% Free to Play

This isn't about money. It's about passion. We use C$ (Capra Dollars) - virtual currency that can't be bought or sold. Everyone starts equal. Your voice matters just as much as anyone else's.

How You Move the Market

This isn't complicated. Three simple steps, and suddenly you're part of something bigger.

1. Vote Your Truth

Artists go head-to-head in matchups. You decide who wins. No algorithm, no committee - just you and thousands of others who give a damn about this stuff.

2. Watch Ratings Shift

Winners gain CR. Losers drop. The bigger the upset, the bigger the swing. Beat a legend? That's worth more than crushing someone nobody knows.

3. Crown the Greats

Over time, the cream rises. The truly great climb to the Pantheon. The pretenders fall. And finally, we have an answer to who's really the G.O.A.T.

The Capra Rating (CR)

This is the number that matters. The Capra Rating is how we measure greatness - a score that evolves with every vote, every matchup, every moment the culture shifts.

I didn't want some simple popularity contest. The CR system factors in who you beat, how you beat them, and what people expected to happen. Upset a legend? Your rating explodes. Barely scrape by against an underdog? Don't expect much movement.

STARTING POINT

Every artist gets evaluated before they enter The Index. We don't just throw numbers around - there's real thought behind where someone starts.

STABILITY OVER TIME

Legends who've proven themselves don't swing wildly. New artists? They're more volatile. That's how it should be.

The Tiers of Greatness

Your CR determines your tier. Climb high enough, and you enter legendary territory. Fall too far, and you've got work to do.

How Artists Get Their Starting Rating

Before anyone enters The Index, they go through our evaluation process. I'm not just pulling numbers out of thin air.

We look at the full picture: critical acclaim, commercial success, cultural influence, and staying power. Someone who changed the game gets credit for that. Someone who's just getting started? They start lower, but they've got room to climb.

Critical Acclaim

Awards, recognition, respect from peers - the stuff that shows the industry takes you seriously

Commercial Impact

Did you move units? Did you sell out arenas? Numbers matter.

Cultural Influence

Did you change the sound? Did people bite your style? Did you start something?

Longevity

One-hit wonders don't last here. We respect artists who've stood the test of time.

Organized by Era

Music evolves. Culture shifts. So I organized The Index by era - because comparing a 70s soul legend to a 2020s viral rapper without context doesn't make sense. You can explore by era, see who dominated each period, and watch how different generations stack up.

ERAS

Foundation, New School/Def Jam, Golden Age, Bling/Jiggy, Ringtone/Blog, Trap/Streaming, The Viral Era - 7 distinct periods that shaped culture

MICRO-ERAS

Dig deeper into specific movements and moments within each major era

ASSET TYPES

Artists, Albums, Songs - different ways to measure greatness, all in one place

🐐

The Mission

I built The Capra Index because I believe greatness deserves to be measured. Not debated endlessly with no resolution -measured. With real data. With real input from real people who care.

This is bigger than any one artist or any one argument. This is about building something that finally answers the question we've all been asking: Who is the greatest of all time?
